Job summary

CONTACT Care Line, based in East Tennessee, seeks licensed or experienced crisis counselors for a fully remote, full-time role. Shifts are 8.5 hours with weekend coverage required; staff must respond compassionately to 988 chat, text, and phone interactions while assessing suicide risk and creating safety plans for visitors.

Responsibilities include timely documentation, adherence to clinical and operational guidelines, and participation in training and supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 120 credits in Social Work or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in mental health or crisis intervention.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress or high-risk situations.
• Proficiency with web-based applications and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 988 chat, text, and phone interactions promptly and compassionately.
• Assess suicide risk and develop safety plans with visitors.
• Document all interactions accurately and timely per procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies across shifts.
