Job summary

CONTACT Care Line is seeking dedicated Crisis Counselors for fully remote, full-time work. The role involves assessing suicide risk, providing compassionate support, completing timely documentation, and coordinating safety plans with visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to 988 chat, text, and phone interactions, conducting follow-ups, and adhering to clinical and operational guidelines across shifts. A minimum of 1 year in mental health and a 40-hour work week are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related mental health field with 120 college credits or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in mental health, crisis intervention, or related field.
• Ability to remain calm and use logical reasoning in high-stress situations.
• Proficiency with web-based applications and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Respond to 988 chat, text, and telephone interactions in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Manage two concurrent chats during chat-focused shifts while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Assess and mitigate suicide risk using established protocols and safety planning procedures.
• Provide referrals to appropriate community resources as needed.
• Document all visitor interactions accurately and thoroughly in accordance with procedures.
