CONTACT Care Line is seeking a fully remote Crisis Counselor for a full-time, 40-hour week. Shifts are 8.5 hours with both weekend days required.

You will assess suicide risk, provide compassionate support, document interactions, and collaborate on safety plans in a text/phone/chat environment. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 1+ year in mental health/crisis work, and completion of required trainings within two weeks.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related mental health field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year in mental health, crisis intervention, or related field.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must not be a current or recent client of CONTACT Care Line.
• Ability to stay calm in high-stress or high-risk situations.
• Proficient with web-based applications and basic troubleshooting.
• Complete Crisis Counselor Basic Training within two weeks of employment.
• Hardwired Ethernet and reliable high-speed internet required.
• Fully remote role with 40 hours per week; weekend shifts required.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver high-quality work within established timelines, maintaining focus and accountability.
• Engage respectfully and professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and visitors seeking services.
• Contribute meaningfully to team efforts, embracing collaboration as a core element of CONTACT's mission.
• Uphold integrity, responsibility, and trustworthiness while working remotely and maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to 988 chat, text, and phone interactions in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Manage two concurrent chat interactions during chat-focused shifts, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Assess and mitigate suicide risk using established safety planning procedures.
• Provide referrals to appropriate community resources as needed.
• Follow all clinical and operational protocols across all shifts; initiate contact during disconnections or imminent risk.
• Initiate and conduct follow-up outreach as needed per guidelines.
• Participate in training for both chat and phone-based services; document all interactions.
• Maintain active presence in Slack during scheduled shifts; respond within 3 minutes in relevant channels.
• Participate in meetings and supervision sessions on Microsoft Teams; join video calls as requested.
• Be knowledgeable of mandatory reporting requirements and procedures.
• Assist in reports involving suspected child or vulnerable adult abuse.
• Keep current with Title VI training and adhere to non-discrimination standards.
• Comply with all policies in the Operations Handbook and Clinical Policy Documents.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and participate in evaluations.
• Meet or exceed performance benchmarks for quality, productivity, attendance, and ethics.
