Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding, auditing, and training across the organization. You will apply ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS classifications, lead onboarding for new staff, and develop ongoing education programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of coding professional fee records experience.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certifications.
• Epic experience and knowledge of Medicare billing rules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of professional fee coding for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing education to coding staff on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep coding teams current with evolving health plan requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Lead cross-departmental communication to standardize coding practices.
