Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for the Professional Fee team. You will apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 to support accurate coding, while auditing and educating the professional fee coding staff.

You will onboard, train, and develop ongoing education programs, aligning with regulatory changes and payer requirements to ensure compliant coding practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience auditing PB coder records and providing education/training.
• Strong knowledge of professional fee coding rules and Medicare billing.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Ability to develop and deliver ongoing staff education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and follow-up training to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop educational programs.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to coding teams.
• Lead onboarding for new hires on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and billing regulatory guidelines.
