Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will audit professional fee records, onboard staff, and deliver ongoing education on ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliant coding and billing practices.

You will monitor regulatory changes, implement timely updates, and collaborate with leadership on strategic planning to maintain excellence in coding reliability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Experience with PB coder audits, education, and training is required.
• Proven ability to lead onboarding and develop ongoing education programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide follow-up education to improve coding quality.
• Onboard and train new staff on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep teams current on regulatory changes.
• Communicate updates on regulatory changes to PB coding teams.
