Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support the coding team across ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications. You will audit, educate, and standardize coding practices across the organization while staying current with regulatory changes.

You will onboard and train staff, develop ongoing education programs, and collaborate with leadership on strategic planning to maintain high-quality documentation and compliant billing.

Qualifications

• Auditing & education experience in professional fee coding.
• Familiarity with coding rules and documentation improvement processes.
• Ability to lead and deliver education programs to coding staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and provide follow-up education for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Partner with leadership for short- and long-term strategic planning to ensure compliant coding and billing practices.
• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and regulatory guidelines as a SME for complex inquiries.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing risk adjustment training.
• Develop and deploy training programs to keep teams updated on health plan requirements.
• Build cross-departmental relationships to standardize practices.
