Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. You will apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 classifications to support the professional fee coding team, audit workflows, and educate staff to ensure compliant coding practices across the organization.

You will monitor regulatory changes, provide timely updates, and help standardize coding practices. The role includes onboarding new staff and developing ongoing education programs in Risk Adjustment and MEAT

Qualifications

• 2 years of PB coder audits, education, and training.
• 5 years of experience coding professional fee records.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing rules and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and provide follow-up education to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor evolving regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop and deploy ongoing educational programs.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing education on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.
• Develop training programs to keep coding teams current on health plan requirements.
