Above Lending is seeking a remote retention specialist to reach out to clients whose accounts have fallen behind and guide them back to current status. You will assess what happened, offer a concrete plan, and secure a commitment during the call.

This save/retention role emphasizes compliant, empathetic conversations, accurate documentation in the loan system, and timely follow-up to ensure commitments are kept.

Qualifications

• 2+ years on the phone in a role closing on the call.
• Experience in retention or save work or similar debt-related role.
• Comfort with difficult, emotional conversations.
• Track record against a conversation target and openness to coaching.
• Clear written and verbal communication; explain financial consequences accurately.
• Instinct for compliance; distinguish urgency from pressure.
• Reliable and able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Call clients whose accounts recently fell behind and have real conversations.
• Identify root causes and determine the right solution.
• Secure a specific amount on a specific date and set it up on the call.
• Follow up with email or text to close the commitment.
• Document every contact accurately in the loan system.
• Work within UDAAP/TCPA and our contact-frequency rules.
• Share learnings with the team to shape scripts and offers.
