Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services in the Supply Chain unit. This virtual role can be located anywhere in the United States and focuses on transportation, fleet, and courier services.

You will lead sourcing, negotiations, and supplier performance improvements to deliver measurable cost and service gains. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Supply Management or related field, 7+ years of experience, and strong leadership with stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience; large org exp preferred.
• Professional certification (C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to develop business cases, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
• Willingness for some travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies for logistics services and manage spend.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy to supplier evaluation and contracting.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing; manage risk and terms.
• Analyze spend, market conditions, and business needs for value.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Analytics for informed decisions.
• Define KPIs and governance for supplier performance and risk.
• Partner with internal clients and cross-functional teams for implementation.
• Maintain category governance and timely reporting on activities and results.
