Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services for the Supply Chain Business Unit. This virtual role can be located anywhere in the United States, driving sourcing, negotiations, and supplier management to improve cost, service, and risk.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Supply Management, and professional certifications; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Professional certification (C.P.M., CPSM, CPIM, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for logistics services.
• Lead sourcing events from strategy to award.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.
• Improve total cost, service, and risk through cost initiatives.
• Analyze spend, cost drivers, and market conditions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, and analytics teams.
• Manage supplier performance and governance.
• Provide transparent reporting on strategies and results.
