Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Category Manager, Logistics Services to develop category and sourcing strategies for transportation, fleet, couriers, and related logistics. You will lead complex sourcing initiatives, negotiations, and supplier performance improvements across internal clients and suppliers.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Management, this virtual role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable cost and service improvements while ensuring risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in a large organization.
• Professional certification preferred (C.P.M., CPSM, CIRM, CPIM).

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute category strategies for assigned logistics services.
• Lead complex sourcing initiatives from strategy development through contracting and implementation.
• Develop negotiation strategies for contracts and pricing while managing risk.
• Analyze spend, market conditions and requirements to improve total cost and service.
• Analyze spend and build business cases with Finance, Legal, Risk, and Analytics.
• Define KPIs, service levels, and governance; monitor supplier performance.
• Partner with internal clients and cross-functional stakeholders to drive initiatives.
• Maintain category governance and provide timely reporting on activities and results.
