Job summary

Byrne & Jones Construction is seeking a seasoned outside sales professional to drive growth across Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri, offering a sole-source team from concept to completion for athletic facilities and parks. This remote role targets multi-stakeholder deals with a strong, uncapped commission structure.

The candidate will manage a high-performing territory, engage early in bond issues and master plans, and close deals through RFQs and public bids.

Qualifications

• 5+ years closing complex B2B deals.
• Proven quota attainment history.
• Credibility with end users, executives, and boards.
• Self-motivated with ability to generate opportunities.
• Knowledge of design-build, sports facilities, or parks sales is a plus.
• Strong CRM and pipeline discipline; able to work remotely.
• Willingness to travel 50–60% with overnights; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Grow an established territory and expand the pipeline.
• Engage on bond issues, capital plans, and master plans early.
• Own full sales cycle: qualify, pursue, propose, negotiate, close.
• Present to athletic directors, directors, architects, and boards.
• Show design-build value: one team from concept to completion.
• Lead pursuits through RFQs, RFPs, and public bids.
• Meet/exceed annual targets with an accurate CRM forecast.
• Maintain client relationships and turn projects into referrals.
