Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps initiatives. You will bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps requirements, support field tests, and collaborate with engineering and BD teams across expeditionary environments.

Preferred candidates have SDR exposure, networking skills, and security clearance. Travel up to 50% is required with some remote work options depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles; OR HS Diploma with 5+ years experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to validate architectures.
• Support BD in aligning work with strategic priorities and roadmaps.
• Prepare technical demos for expeditionary and tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and end-to-end network testing.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer engagements.
