Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USMC requirements. Travel up to 50% and remote work option depending on location are available.

You will support demonstrations, field tests, and RFI/RFP responses while coordinating with engineering and business development teams to align priorities with MARCORSYSCOM and MCWL. A SECRET clearance is required or obtainable within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant technical or defense experience.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing USMC operational priorities and mapping requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to support technical needs and priorities.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations for expeditionary and tactical edge networking.
• Review support for RFI/RFP proposals and test end-to-end network architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYSCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval warfare centers.
• Gather field feedback and translate into product roadmap inputs and progress tracking.
