Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for US Marine Corps programs. The role bridges RF engineering with defense customer needs, supporting field tests, demonstrations, and technical proposals.

You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs while coordinating with engineering and BD teams to align on strategic priorities and roadmaps. A security clearance is required or achievable within 15 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in a technical field with 2–5 years in systems engineering, tech biz dev, or defense tech roles, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with RF systems, SDRs, or tactical comms.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and lab instrumentation.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with team to use testing data for validated architectures.
• Support BD with technical needs aligned to strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and proposals.
• Perform market research on potential integrations and partners.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems on technical matters.
• Capture field feedback to inform product roadmaps and progress tracking.
• Travel approximately 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
