Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps customer requirements. You will support field trials, interoperability testing, and enterprise-level demonstrations across expeditionary and tactical environments.

You will collaborate with Engineering and BD teams, travel up to 50%, and may work remotely depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Must hold Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months; U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and execute field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to benchmark and validate architectures.
• Support BD needs and align work with strategic priorities.
• Draft and present technical demos for expeditionary and tactical edge networking.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with MARCORSYCOM, MCWL, PEO Land Systems, and naval centers.
• Capture field feedback to inform product roadmap progress.
