Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Marine Corps to bridge RF capabilities with Marine Corps needs. You will support field trials, demos, and engagements with MARCORSYSCOM and MCWL, traveling up to 50% and potentially working remotely depending on location.

The role requires a technical degree with defense experience, SDR/IP knowledge, and US citizenship with ability to obtain clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer/CS or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech; OR HS diploma with 5+ years experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms.
• Basic RF test equipment familiarity (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USMC priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to validate architectures and benchmark data.
• Support BD with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for expeditionary edge networking.
