Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. is seeking a Remote Breakfast Cook to assist with the preparation, production, and presentation of a variety of foods in remote camp facilities.

The role includes supervising kitchen staff, completing production sheets, and cleaning and sanitizing prep areas to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene. The position also involves training food service personnel, assisting with menu development, and handling a wide range of bakery tasks in a demanding

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three (3) years of directly related restaurant cooking and/or baking experience.
• Ability to instruct and train others and handle multiple tasks.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification on hire.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including drug, physical and fitness assessments.
• Must work well in a team and make independent decisions.
• Must stand for 12 hours per shift and live in dormitory settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food production duties per shift.
• Prepares bakery products in a remote camp setting.
• Completes pastry preparations including mixing, baking, frying.
• Reviews needs with supervisor, completes production sheets, and checks supplies.
• Assists in menu and recipe development.
• Maintains sanitation and proper rotation of food items.
• Cooks breakfast, lunch, dinner, and related items.
• Keeps preparation and serving areas clean and organized.
• Supervises staff and ensures quantity/quality in production.
• Performs very light facility maintenance and periodic large cleaning projects.
