Job summary

NMS seeks a Remote Breakfast Cook/Baker to assist in the production, presentation, and bakery of foods at our North Slope Endicott Camp. You will train staff, complete production sheets, and maintain sanitation in a remote camp kitchen.

This 3-week on, 3-week off rotation requires standing for long shifts and living in dormitory-style accommodations; Alaska-specific certifications may apply. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least three (3) years of directly related restaurant cooking and/or baking experience with high volume production.
• Ability to instruct and train others and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food production duties as assigned.
• Prepares and produces bakery products in a remote camp setting.
• Completes pastry preparations including mixing, baking and frying.
• Reviews daily production needs with supervisor and completes production sheets.
• Assists supervisors with menu and recipe development.
• Monitors and replenishes kitchen items using rotation procedures.
• Cooks breakfast, lunch, dinner, and related items.
• Ensures sanitation of prep areas and equipment.
• Supervises and trains food service personnel as needed.
