Job summary

NMS operates remote camp kitchens across Alaska. The Remote Breakfast Cook/Housekeeper role supports the preparation, production, and presentation of foods, bakes bakery goods, and directs food service personnel while maintaining sanitation and safety.

You will train staff, complete production sheets, and handle cleaning duties in a remote setting with dormitory housing and long shifts. A High School Diploma or GED and Alaska Food Workers Card/ServSafe are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least three years of directly related restaurant cooking and/or baking experience.
• Ability to instruct and train others; handle multiple tasks concurrently.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform main line food production duties and bakery production.
• Prepare and present a wide variety of bakery goods in a remote camp setting.
• Complete production sheets and review supply needs; assist with menu/recipe development.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchen and service areas; rotate stock and monitor equipment.
