Job summary

NANA Management Services in Alaska seeks a Remote Breakfast Cook/Baker to prepare bakery goods and a broad range of breakfast and meal items in a remote camp setting. You will supervise and train staff, complete production sheets, and ensure sanitation and safety standards.

This rotational 3 weeks on/3 weeks off assignment at Milne Point Camp requires endurance for 12-hour shifts, the ability to live in dormitory housing, and a valid Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of restaurant cooking and/or baking experience.
• Ability to instruct and train others.
• Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe certification required on hire.
• Pre-employment testing may be required (drug test, physical, fit-for-duty, etc.).
• Able to work in a team and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform main line production duties per shift.
• Prepare and bake a wide variety of bakery products in remote camp.
• Complete pastry preparations including mixing, baking and frying.
• Supervise and train food service staff as assigned.
• Maintain sanitation and rotate stock in production areas.
• Ensure menus and recipes are followed and supply needs are met.
