Job summary

NMS is seeking a Remote Breakfast Cook to assist with the preparation, production, and presentation of a variety of foods in a remote camp setting. You will help with bakery products, production sheets, and supervise food service staff.

The role requires the ability to work long shifts, train others, maintain sanitation, and live in dormitory-style housing. English required; Alaska food workers card or ServSafe preferred; travel to remote sites may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of directly related restaurant cooking and/or baking experience.
• Ability to train others and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Able to pass pre-employment tests and health checks.
• Team player, able to work with minimal supervision.
• English reading/writing required; physical fitness to stand long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Performs main line food production duties for assigned shift.
• Prepares bakery products in a remote camp setting.
• Completes pastry prep including mixing, baking and frying as needed.
• Maintains production sheets and ensures supply needs are met.
• Supervises and trains food service staff as directed.
• Cleans and sanitizes preparation areas and equipment.
