Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking Part-Time Tier 1 Customer Service Agents to support our Training Services Team. This remote role welcomes candidates nationwide in the United States and offers a flexible schedule with shifts in the afternoon/evening Eastern Time.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish with solid customer service experience and the ability to work independently in a virtual call center environment. Compensation reflects geographic location and experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service, sales, or call center experience preferred.
• Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a fast-paced, remote call center.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound call and email inquiries from learners, prospective learners, instructors, and instructor organizations.
• Use information from computer systems and job aids to resolve inquiries, update account records, and note resolution.
• Handle basic inquiries such as account maintenance, class information, and RCLC usage issues.
• Maintain daily production standards: Average Handle Time, Calls per Hour, Email per Hour, Percentage Online Time, and Quality.
• Triage complex problems and route callers to appropriate resources.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
