Job summary

Oscar Medical Group is hiring a Bilingual Physician to join our Virtual Urgent Care team and deliver compassionate care to Oscar Health Insurance members remotely. You will provide virtual-based care using audio, video, and written communication, reporting to the Medical Director, Virtual Urgent Care.

This full-time role supports designated Oscar states with a rotating weekend schedule and flexible day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• MD/DO licensed physician with board certification in ER/FM/IM.
• Spanish fluency (read, write, and speak).
• 3+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency department experience.
• 2+ years of experience delivering virtual care/telemedicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting.
• Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team for complex patients.
• Follow up on labs, imaging, and ensure closed loop communication with patients and other providers.
• Use tooling to allow virtual exams including remote home monitoring equipment, remote physical exam, remote point of care diagnostics.
• Participate in collaborative care model with care team members including nurses, medical assistants, PCPs, and behavioral health clinicians.
• Attend meetings to support patient care including huddles, case conferencing and All Hands.
• Provide feedback to support improvement in operational workflows and product features.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
