Job summary

Oscar Medical Group is seeking a bilingual physician to join its Virtual Urgent Care team for remote, nationwide care of Oscar Health members. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care via audio, video and written communication from a home office.

The role reports to the Medical Director, Virtual Urgent Care, with 5‑day schedules (8 hours) and weekend rotation. Requires MD/DO, ER/FM/IM board certification, Spanish fluency, and active IMLC licenses in TN and FL.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical program.
• Board certification in ER, FM, or IM.
• Spanish fluency (read, write, and speak).
• 3+ years of outpatient urgent care or emergency department experience.
• 2+ years of experience delivering virtual care/telemedicine.
• Must be onboarded with active licenses in both Tennessee and Florida via the IMLC.
• Willingness to be licensed in additional states with our licensing vendor.
• Compact license from IMLCC or eligible for a compact license.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care for patients in a virtual setting.
• Collaborate with Physicians and/or Advanced Practice Leads on the Care Team for complex patients.
• Follow up on labs, imaging, and closed loop communication with patients and providers.
• Use tooling to allow virtual exams including remote home monitoring and diagnostics.
• Participate in collaborative care models with nurses, med assistants, PCPs and other clinicians.
• Attend required meetings to support patient care and service lines.
• Provide feedback to improve operational workflows and product features.
• Compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
