Job summary

Elevance Health seeks a Behavioral Health/EAP Consultant I to provide 24/7 behavioral health and EAP services for up to 10 million lives, with virtual full-time hours and occasional in-person onboarding. The role focuses on crisis intervention, member assessments, and guiding access to benefits under the health plan.

Responsibilities include responding to client contacts, coordinating with providers, and managing incident debriefs while ensuring licensing compliance across applicable states.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of psychiatric/substance abuse experience or equivalent background.
• Current unrestricted license (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or equivalent) in applicable state(s).
• MA/MS preferred.
• Inpatient/outpatient behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial client contacts and requests for services in the EAP.
• Provide crisis intervention, assessment, short-term problem resolution and referrals to providers.
• Manage Critical Incident Stress Debriefing requests.
• Assist members in accessing behavioral health benefits under their health plan.
• Manage shared mailbox for client communications and documentation.
