Job summary

CVS Health Corporation's Aetna Mental Well-being offers a fully remote role in the USA for an EAP Clinical Counselor providing 24/7 telephone/video/online support. You'll assess, triage and counsel members in a call center, with emphasis on risk assessment, safety planning and linkage to services.

The role requires a Master's in behavioral health counseling and an active independent license, with 24x7 coverage and a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health license per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage and holiday coverage expected.
• Experience facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience with mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, counseling and information in a call center.
• Perform risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments with safety planning.
• Understand levels of care to recommend appropriate services.
• Build rapport with members and guide linkage to resources.
• Collaborate with a team to support continuity of care and documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies; document accurately.
• Maintain current behavioral health licensure in the state of residence.
