Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Air Force requirements. You will work with Engineering and BD teams to demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments, including travel for field tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing US Air Force priorities and mapping operational requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs.
• Assist in building and presenting technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Contribute to responses for RFIs/RFPs and conduct market research for partnerships.
