Motorola Solutions, featuring Silvus Technologies, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with DoD customer requirements.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to demonstrate interoperability and field-readiness of StreamCaster radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments, with up to 50% travel and flexible remote options.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years experience in systems engineering, tech business development, or defense tech; or high school +5+ years experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required for employment.

Mansioni

• Analyze US Air Force priorities (DAF Battle Network, ACE, ABMS) and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure systems, and run field trials and user evaluations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to leverage testing data and benchmarking.
• Coordinate with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Prepare technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and base networks.
• Contribute input for RFI/RFP responses.
• Conduct market research for partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with DAF PEOs, AFRL, AFLCMC, TOC-L leads.
• Capture field feedback to inform product roadmap and track progress.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
