Job summary

Motorola Solutions, through its Silvus Technologies subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF/SDR capabilities with US Air Force requirements. You will demonstrate field-ready StreamCaster radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

You will travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs, collaborating with engineering and BD teams to shape technical demonstrations and outcomes, including roadmap inputs tied to AF priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning, field trials, and network configurations for air-force related programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and BD teams to verify solution architectures.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and AF labs to translate field feedback into roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests, meetings, and demonstrations.
