Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will help demonstrate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne, ground, and expeditionary networks, with travel to field tests and customer sites.

The role requires a security clearance and US citizenship, and involves collaboration with engineering and BD teams to shape roadmaps and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Networking, or C5ISR with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech; or HS diploma with 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development to validate architectures.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical inputs.
• Engage with DoD stakeholders and align work with strategic priorities.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
