Job summary

Affirm is seeking a seasoned test automation engineer to own, improve, and maintain our integration and end-to-end testing frameworks. You will design scalable solutions, optimize test execution, and collaborate with engineers to ensure high-quality releases across a remote-friendly, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of test automation experience.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and E2E test automation frameworks, along with their CI pipelines.
• Design and implement technical solutions to optimize test execution time and enhance test stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs, contribute to technical solution design, and collaborate with engineers across the company.
• Support engineering teams by triage requests and sharing best practices for QA and test automation.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s overall test strategy.
• With the team, break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases, ensuring timely delivery.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
