Job summary

Affirm is seeking a senior QA engineer to own, improve, and maintain integration and end-to-end test frameworks, alongside CI pipelines. You will design scalable solutions, write ADRs, and collaborate across engineering teams to raise quality standards.

You’ll contribute to evolving the test strategy and manage phased delivery of complex projects, with on-call rotation as part of the responsibilities. Strong TypeScript and Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience in building or optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong background in QA and testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willing to take ownership of growth and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs and collaborate with engineers.
• Support engineering teams with triage and quality practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of the company’s test strategy.
• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
