Affirm is a remote-first company redefining credit with a focus on honesty and customer-friendly options. This role focuses on owning and improving test automation frameworks and CI pipelines, collaborating with engineers across the company to ensure fast, stable test execution.

You will design technical solutions, write ADRs, and help evolve the QA strategy while participating in on-call rotations and cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in both TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience in building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong background in quality assurance, test design, and testing methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and end-to-end test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement technical solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs; collaborate with engineers.
• Assist with triage requests and share QA best practices.
• Contribute to evolution of the company’s test strategy.
• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases with team.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
