Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit to be more honest and friendly. This role owns, improves, and maintains integration and end-to-end test automation frameworks and their CI pipelines, designs solutions to speed up test execution, and collaborates with engineers across the company.

You will work with TypeScript and Python, Playwright and Pytest, Docker and AWS, and you may participate in on-call rotations. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3+ years in test automation are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of testing techniques and QA methods.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including technical specs and RFCs.
• Experience building/enhancing test automation frameworks and infrastructure is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and end-to-end test automation frameworks, along with CI pipelines.
• Design and implement technical solutions to optimize test execution time and enhance test stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs, collaborate with engineers across the company.
• Support engineering teams by triaging and sharing QA best practices.
• Contribute to evolution of the company’s test strategy.
• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases; collaborate to ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
