Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Outside Auto Appraiser to inspect vehicles, determine ACV, and settle total losses. This remote role supports auto claim staff and requires strong technical and customer service skills to deliver accurate settlements across diverse locations.

You will leverage industry software to prepare estimates, collaborate with repair facilities, and provide exceptional service while adapting to digital tools and evolving processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active adjuster license where applicable.
• Two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software; advanced MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections.
• Prepare repair estimates and determine actual cash value of total losses.
• Negotiate with body shops and customers to reach fair settlements.
• Document pre-existing damage and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to authorize repairs and resolve issues.
