The Travelers Indemnity Company is hiring an Outside Auto Appraiser to inspect damaged vehicles, estimate repair costs, and determine cash value for timely claim settlements. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, an active adjuster license where applicable, and at least two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience, plus proficiency in

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active adjuster license where applicable.
• Two years of auto physical damage appraisal experience preferred.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections.
• Review estimates and coordinate with repair facilities for accuracy.
• Prepare repair estimates for parts, labor, and materials.
• Determine actual cash value and settle total losses using market analysis.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with shops and claimants.
• Document pre-existing damage and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate with claims staff, shops, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Explain the appraisal process and keep owners informed throughout the lifecycle.
