Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; relevant field preferred.
• Active adjuster license where applicable or required by state law.
• Minimum 2 years auto physical damage appraisal experience.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software; strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional conduct in customer interactions.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions.
• Exceptional customer service throughout the claim process.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via virtual or on-site inspections.
• Review estimates, ensure accuracy and consistency with repairs.
• Prepare repair estimates for parts, labor and materials.
• Determine actual cash value using market data and tools.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with shops and claimants.
• Document pre-existing damage and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate with claims staff, shops and vendors to finalize repairs.
• Explain appraisal process and keep vehicle owners informed.
