Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Outside Auto Appraiser to inspect and estimate vehicle damage, determine ACV, and settle total losses. You will work with repair facilities, customers, and claim teams to ensure accurate, timely settlements and high customer satisfaction.

This remote-based position allows work at residential or commercial locations and may involve collaborations with Travelers offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active adjuster license where applicable.
• Two years auto physical damage appraisal experience or comparable.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and appraise vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates for parts, labor and materials.
• Determine actual cash value and settle total losses.
• Negotiate with body shops, customers and third parties for fair settlements.
• Document pre-existing damage and potential fraud indicators.
