Job summary

Himalayas is seeking an experienced Operations Bookkeeper for AU Accounting to manage end-to-end bookkeeping in a remote setup. You will handle AP/AR, reconciliations, and reporting while ensuring Australian tax compliance and accurate financial records.

The role requires strong communication with Australian clients, knowledge of AU standards, and the ability to work in a remote, detail-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with Australian businesses (ESSENTIAL)
• Strong understanding of AU accounting: GST, BAS, AP/AR
• Excellent written and verbal English communication (ESSENTIAL)
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank and account reconciliations accurately and consistently
• Process invoices, payments, and expense tracking
• Prepare financial reports and cash flow summaries
• Support BAS preparation and ensure GST compliance
• Assist with payroll processing, superannuation, and related compliance
• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
• Liaise with accountants, clients, and suppliers professionally
• Support operational workflows and administrative processes
