Job summary

UHP is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our growing accounting team. You will work closely with the Controller on the full accounting function, from monthly closes to revenue reconciliation, performing hands-on GAAP work and driving process improvements.

Candidates should have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong month-end close skills, and QuickBooks Online proficiency. Remote or hybrid work options are available for this role based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with growth in responsibility.
• Hands-on month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis under U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Run the month-end close with reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Manage the general ledger and daily transactions.
• Reconcile revenue, student invoicing, refunds, and payments.
• Support audits and budgeting processes.
• Improve accounting processes and reporting workflows.
