Job summary

Harness is seeking an AppSec Sales Engineer to bridge sales and engineering, articulating the AI-Native DevSecOps platform to executives and technical buyers. You will provide critical technical support, manage technology evaluations, and drive customer success in adopting application and AI security products.

Remote role in the SouthEast with travel; you will engage in workshops, security reviews, and security-focused demonstrations to prove value across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer supporting SaaS/software sales in DevSecOps or Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with modern application security practices and tools (e.g., API Security, AI Security, SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Appreciation for cloud-native application security and GenAI security risks.
• Able to communicate customer security requirements to Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deliver platform presentations and demos focused on AppSec and runtime protection within the DevSecOps landscape.
• Evangelize Harness AI-Native platform benefits, highlighting AppSec, API/AI Security capabilities (SCA, SAST, DAST, runtime protection).
• Link business security risks to technical solutions within the end-to-end SDLC and API/AI workflows.
• Lead technical engagements, workshops and POVs to prove Harness value for secure software delivery.
