Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist I to provide support for live application software relied upon by our user base.

You will handle escalated incidents from frontline IT support, diagnose issues, and manage resolutions within service levels. The role involves investigating, diagnosing, and solving application-related problems, updating knowledge bases, and communicating status to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with ITSM processes and toolsets.
• Experience with knowledge management methodologies and toolsets.
• Experience supporting enterprise level applications in a virtual support environment.
• Understanding of problem identification techniques.
• Experience supporting technology systems.
• Experience writing SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for live application software and resolve escalated incidents.
• Diagnose incidents and manage resolutions within defined service levels.
• Investigate, diagnose, and solve application-related issues and fulfill service requests.
• Schedule work to meet priorities and minimize business disruption.
• Update knowledge base to facilitate future resolution of common errors.
• Keep stakeholders apprised of new issues in a timely manner.
• Process after-hours data changes on production systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
