Eaton Corporation is seeking an Application Engineer for the Critical Power Projects team. This fully remote role offers up to 10% travel and requires understanding of UPS systems, power distribution, and proposal development.

Location flexibility across several US states is provided. You will interpret specifications, prepare proposals, lead cost estimation, and liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate BOMs and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Business with Engineering/Technical Experience and 1+ year in UPS systems or power distribution equipment, or 3+ years’ related experience.
• Experience in estimating/proposal writing for electrical contractors or government bids is a plus.
• Must reside in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, or Florida.

Responsabilités

• Interpret project specifications and drawings; provide detailed responses and assist Sales with technical proposals for UPS systems.
• Create proposals for projects under $2M and price sheets for management review.
• Lead cost estimates for proposals with bid team; coordinate with project managers, engineering, risk, and sales.
• Serve as technical liaison for the Critical Power Projects with Customers, UPS plants, Sales, and Project Operations.
• Review proposals for correct BOM and content.
• Periodically visit customer sites for technical inputs; travel up to 10% per year in the region.
• Review orders on receipt to ensure accuracy.
• Interface with Project Execution for handoff with order summary information.
• Maintain accurate project/proposal documentation.
• Develop schedule of values or milestone billing schedules for proposals.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology OR Business with Engineering/Technical Experience

3 years’ experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing / UPS systems

No relocation requirement; resides in eligible states
