Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. Candidates must reside in KY, TN, NC, SC, MS, AL, GA, or FL. The annual salary range is $86,000 to $126,000, with eligibility for a variable incentive.

The role involves interpreting project specs, preparing UPS-focused proposals, and leading cost estimates. No visa sponsorship is offered. Relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Business with Engineering/Technical Experience.
• 1 year of experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing or 3 years field experience with UPS systems.
• Residency in KY, TN, NC, SC, MS, AL, GA or FL; no relocation offered.
• Sponsorship not provided for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT or similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specs and drawings; respond with detailed proposals for UPS systems.
• Create project proposals and price sheets for <$2M; review with management.
• Lead cost estimates development for proposals with bid team.
• Serve as technical liaison to Customers, UPS plants, Sales and Project Operations.
• Review bills of material and content in proposals; ensure accuracy.
• Visit customer sites to gather inputs for proposals; travel up to 10% yearly.
• Interface with Project Execution for handoff and order summaries.
• Maintain project/proposal documents and schedule of values for proposals.
