Job summary

Eaton Corporation in the United States is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. You will interpret project specs, prepare UPS-focused proposals, and lead cost estimates with the bid team for projects up to $2M.

You will liaise with customers, UPS plants, Sales, and Project Operations, ensuring accurate BOMs and timely handoffs. Preferred candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a Business/Engineering mix, with 1+ year UPS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Business with Engineering/Technical Experience and 1+ year UPS experience.
• In lieu of degree, 3+ years in electrical contractor estimating/proposal writing or UPS field experience.
• No relocation; candidate must reside in listed states; military exception applies.
• No immigration sponsorship or work visa support.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specs and drawings; support Sales with UPS proposals.
• Create proposals for projects under $2M and price sheets for management review.
• Lead cost-estimate development with bid team including PMs, Sales and Risk.
• Serve as technical liaison to Customers, UPS plants, Sales, and Project Operations.
• Review BOMs and content in proposals for accuracy.
• Visit customer sites up to 10% annually to collect technical inputs.
• Interface with Project Execution for handoff and maintain proposal documents.
• Develop value schedules for proposals and milestone billing.
