Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Critical Power Projects team is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. You will interpret project specifications, prepare technical proposals for UPS systems, and support sales with bid packages and pricing.

You will lead cost estimates, review BOMs, coordinate with project operations, and maintain proposal documents. Travel is regional, and eligibility requires residence in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Business with engineering/technical experience.
3+ years in electrical contractor estimating/proposal writing or UPS systems field experience.
Ability to work remotely with travel up to 10% in-region.

Responsibilities

Interpret project specs and assist Sales with technical proposals for UPS systems.
Create proposals for projects under $2M and price sheets for management review.
Lead cost estimates development and approval with the bid team.
Serve as a technical liaison to Customers, UPS plants, Sales, and Project Operations.
Review BOMs and order content; visit sites to gather inputs for proposals.
