Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. The position targets candidates in multiple states and offers a salary range of $86,000 to $126,000 annually with a variable incentive program.

Responsibilities include interpreting specifications, developing technical solutions, and preparing proposals for UPS systems and power distribution. You’ll coordinate with Sales, Project Management, and Engineering to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 1+ year in estimating/proposal writing or related field.
• Associate’s degree with 3+ years of relevant UPS/Power distribution experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in estimating/proposal writing or UPS systems without a degree.
• Residence in OH, WV, PA, VA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, or MA is required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record; background checks may apply.
• Sponsorship for immigration or CPT/OPT is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specs and drawings to develop technical solutions and assist Sales with UPS proposals.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, pricing schedules, and milestone billing plans for projects up to $2M.
• Serve as technical liaison between customers, UPS manufacturers, Sales, and Project Operations; travel up to 10%.
• Review orders and documentation, coordinate handoffs, and prepare submittals and order summaries.
