Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Application Engineer for a fully remote role with up to 10% travel. The position supports Critical Power Projects and requires residency in specified states. Salary ranges from $86,000 to $126,000, with eligibility for a variable incentive program.

Responsibilities include developing technical solutions, preparing proposals, and coordinating with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, application engineering, on UPS and power distribution equipment field experience.
• Associate’s degree and 3+ years experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, application engineering, on UPS and power distribution equipment field experience.
• 5+ years' experience in electrical contractor estimating / proposal writing, application engineering, on UPS and power distribution equipment or field experience.
• Must reside within Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, or Massachusetts; relocation not offered.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications and drawings to develop technical solutions and assist Sales with UPS system proposals/bid packages.
• Prepare and lead development of project proposals, cost estimates, pricing schedules, and milestones for projects up to $2M.
• Serve as primary technical liaison between customers, UPS manufacturers, Sales, and Project Operations across proposal and handoff processes.
